Passion / Love-Hate

In most of the novels and stories listed below, Margaret Oliphant portrays impulsive people who ignore all warnings and rush into relationships (usually marriage), based almost solely on their passionate feelings. Of course these relationships rarely work out.

In Madonna Mary, Squire Arden, and Kirsteen these are secondary story lines.

The Sorceress is the portrait of a manipulative woman who uses her charisma to bring out the passion in others.
